FAQ

Questions,
answered.

What does Elixia Speed measure?

Location by GPS and base station over 4G, temperature, humidity, shock and light. Readings are checked against the range set for each shipment, with alerts when something goes wrong.

How long does the battery last?

About five months at a six-hour reporting interval, from a 4,200 mAh battery. Shorter intervals use more battery. Charging takes about five hours, and Elixia recharges devices between shipments.

What happens when there is no network?

Elixia Speed stores up to 1,000 readings and sends them when the network returns, so the record has no gaps.

Who brings the device back?

Elixia. Reverse logistics of every device is managed by Elixia: we collect it from the destination, recharge it and send it out again.

How is it fitted?

With a magnet or adhesive, inside the truck, container or box. Scan the QR code to link it to the shipment. No wiring and no installer.

How is Speed different from Elixia Track?

Track is fitted to a vehicle and tracks the vehicle. Speed travels with the shipment, so it keeps reporting across trucks, hubs and carriers, and records what the cargo went through.
